Everything you need to know before renting a vehicle at AQUA-CAR, during your rental and after it. If you have any question that is not reflected in the list you can write to us using the form.


Before renting your car

What does the rental rate include?

Rental rates include:

  • Iva
  • Basic CDW insurance
  • Unlimited mileage

What does the rental rate not include?

Rates do not include:

  • Fuel
  • Traffic or parking fines
  • Damage to wheels or tires
  • Insurance exceptions

Do the rates include insurance?

The rental rates always include the basic coverage of the Mandatory Automobile Insurance and the Complementary Civil Liability Insurance for damages against third parties derived from the use and circulation of the Vehicle. This coverage includes an own risk for said damages for which the customer is directly responsible. You can extend the coverage and cancel the own risk by contracting an Additional Optional Insurance.

Can I rent a specific car model?

You can request a model from our fleet, but we can’t guarantee the availability of a specific vehicle.

Do I need a credit card to rent?

Yes, it is necessary to have a credit card on the name of the main driver.

Is there a minimum of rental days?

Yes, the minimum rental time is 3 days.

Can I travel with the vehicle outside the country?

No, our vehicles only have permission to circulate in the Spanish territory of the peninsula.

Can I return the vehicle at a branch other than the one I got it from?

Yes, it is possible to return the vehicle in a different branch, it is necessary to indicate it when making the reservation.

Can I rent a baby chair?

If you travel with children, we have special chairs for them: baby seats (+6 months) and elevator seats.

Does delivering the vehicle at night have an additional surcharge?

We are open 24 hours at the Alicante-Elche Airport.

Vehicle deliveries between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m. will have an extra cost of 6€.

What extra services and products can I get at Aquacar?

Additional services available are:

  • Baby chair or booster.
  • Additional insurance without excess.
  • An additional driver.

Is there any franchise or deposit payment?

No deposit is charged or the card is blocked, we only charge the damages of the vehicle produced during the rental of the car up to a maximum of the agreed own risk.

About your reservation

What documents are needed to pick up a rental car?

The requirements to rent a car at Aquacar:

  • Passport
  • Driving license
  • Credit card (Visa or M.Card)
  • Be over 25 years and 2 years of driving license experience.

How do I cancel or modify my reservation?

If you finally cannot travel, you can cancel your car rental reservation by phone (966790011) or email (inforeserva@aquacar.es). We cancel your reservation without fees or penalties.

Can I add extras when picking up the vehicle?

Yes, as long as it is before signing the contract.

If I modify or cancel my reservation do I have additional surcharges?

No, except modifications of extras or extension of the rental time.

I can not make my trip. Can I get back the amount I paid?

No, the rental amount is not charged until the vehicle is delivered.

How many kilometers can I make per day?

As long as the vehicle remains in Spanish territory on the peninsula, it has no mileage limit.

What are the payment options?

The rent must be paid at the signing of the contract in cash or credit card (Visa or M.Card). Remember that even if you pay in cash, you must show your credit card as a guarantee.

During your rental

What are the delivery and collection times of the vehicle?

You can pick up or return your vehicle 24 hours a day at Alicante-Elche Airport.

Deliveries between 23-7 hrs have an extra cost of € 6.

In our offices, only the opening hours of each of them are authorized. Ask us.

What should I do if I have an accident or breakdown with the car?

If you have any incident or breakdown, we offer you 24-hour assistance and towing service.

How should I act in case of theft of the vehicle?

Go to the police and report the theft, then hand over the report and the vehicle key at the nearest rental Branch of AQUACAR S.L..

Can I travel between to the islands with my rental vehicle?

No, vehicles can only circulate in Spanish territory on the peninsula.

What should I do if I want to increase my rental days?

You have to go to the nearest rental office of AQUACAR S.L. to request the extension of the contract.

Who is authorized to drive the vehicle?

Only drivers registered in the contract.

What should I do in case of loss or damage of the vehicle key?

Make sure that the car can’t be stolen and go to the nearest AQUACAR S.L. rental office. request a copy of the key, The stolen or damaged key has to be paid at the moment and is not covered by the additional insurance.

What happens if I get a fine?

AQUACAR S.L. receives notification of the fine and has to provide the driver’s details to the authorities.

We receive fine notifications only if an infraction has been committed.

How long is the bail blocked?

No bail is blocked.

When can I request the rental invoice?

After the rental Service has finished, you can request the invoice per email:

What happens if I leave personal belongings in the vehicle?

We can’t be responsable for forgotten or lost objects, but if we find anything during the cleaning of the car we keep it stored in lost objects, If the cliente claims a possible lost object.
